T Breslin scored all Poppleton's goals in a 4-0 win over Corinthians to see them through to the York Mitchell Sports League Cup final.

They will play Copmanthorpe Cougars who made Real Cliffe pay for not putting their chances away in the other semi-final which was decided on penalties after extra time.

Copmanthorpe Cougars went through 4-2 on penalties after the match finished 1-1, Danny Chipper scoring for Cougars' and Toby Swain finding the net for Cliffe.

Heworth's first win in 2001 saw them thump Rawcliffe 12-0 in division one with goals by Andrew Bilton (5), Darryl Cooke (4), Chris Walker (2) and Mike Braithwaite.

In division three, two own goals helped Dunnington on their way to a 10-2 victory at Huntington, whose goals came from S Eve and J Heslop. Scorers for Dunnington were Charles Metcalfe (3), Matthew Davies (2) and one each for Josh Tattersall, Scott Nichols and Russell Carr.

With both sides guilty of missed chances, Brooklyn and Stamford Bridge played out a 0-0 draw.

Pickering Town beat Panthers United 1-0 thanks to H Reed. Pickering had earlier beaten Brooklyn 1-0 through J Brown under floodlights at Pickering.

Carr Vikings achieved their first league win this season as S Harper scored the only goal of the game against against Copmanthorpe Jaguars.
