AMPLE BOSOM, the award-winning North Yorkshire scheme set up by farmer's wife Sally Robinson, is all set to burst on to the big screen.

London-based Harbour Pictures has bought the film rights to the story of how Sally built up her lingerie business from a converted barn on the North York Moors.

Set up 15 months ago, www.amplebosom.com has expanded into an internationally renowned operation with customers worldwide.

AmpleBosom is a lingerie mail-order Internet company which was started by Sally after she turned her attentions from the day's routine of cattle, sheep and pigs to female underclothing.

The project started after Sally converted a redundant barn on the farm at Old Byland, near Sutton Bank.

Sally will sign the film contract on the dotted line when she meets Nick Barton and screenwriter Jason Sutton, representatives of Harbour Pictures, who travel to North Yorkshire tomorrow.

Sally said: "When we started the business in September 1999, we never dreamed we would capture the imagination of the public the way we have.

"It's been a thrilling time for everyone connected with AmpleBosom, and to think that they're going to turn our story into a film is almost unbelievable."

Jonathan French, head of North Yorkshire's economic development unit, said: "We are delighted to have been associated with such a dynamic venture, particularly a business which has grown from nothing into a worldwide enterprise in such a short space of time."
