Terry Dolan reckons York City are facing their hardest game of a gruelling season as they seek to finally banish their relegation fears.

And with the run-in offering up so many confusing permutations amid a fixture melee, Dolan will address his players ahead of tomorrow's crunch clash at Torquay with a simple message - "win".

A draw and its resultant point against relegation threatened United at Plainmoor would safeguard City's Football League status.

Defeat however would leave the Minstermen still needing two points from their last two games to be mathematically certain of avoiding the drop.

"Of all the ifs and buts, as far as I am concerned and as far as the players are concerned if we get three points on Saturday then everybody else can worry about each other. If we win, that's it we are safe." said Dolan.

The city chief admits however improving Torquay will offer a stern test. "Torquay have been fairly organised recently, they haven't conceded many goals and they are a difficult team to beat," he explained.

"We don't expect anything different and I have told the players it is going to be the hardest game of the season.

"Torquay have got to get something out of it. They go to Barnet next Saturday and they won't want to go there in a position where they are banking on other teams dropping points."

Dolan will name the same starting line-up as that which was picked to face Shrewsbury before that match was postponed.

The only addition to the squad will be the return of skipper Steve Agnew, who has shaken off a hamstring strain that has plagued the midfielder over the last couple of weeks and could be on the bench.

Russ Howarth will also meet up with the squad in Torquay after flying back in from Poland today, where he has been on duty with England Under-18s and will resume his understudy duties.
