Colourful floats carrying Cinderella and scores of gun-toting cowboys paraded through streets at the annual Sherburn-in-Elmet Gala.
Hundreds of people flocked to the event, which raised more than £6,000 for local causes.
The new chairman of Selby District Council, Wally Norton, judged the float competition, while Castleford Tigers Rugby League players Dean Sampson and John Roper crowned 11-year-old Kerry Mortimer as gala queen.
Sherburn Co-op employees, who dressed as Cinderella characters, were voted best float in the senior competition, while Sherburn Line Dancers came second.
South Milford Junior School claimed first prize in the school float trophy, while Athelstan Primary School were runners-up.
Sherburn Brownies were voted best youth float, with Sherburn White Rose Football Club claiming second place.
Knottingley High School steel band entertained the crowds with a marching procession, while the Towton Battlefield Archers gave a skilled demonstration.
Organiser Alma Hodgson told the Evening Press: "It was a fantastic day despite the cold weather. The gala queen looked absolutely beautiful.
"I'd like to thank everyone who got involved."
