A man was today taken to hospital after an electrical fault in his Harrogate home caused his television to blow up.
Two fire engines attended the scene at Valley Mount at 4.23am, and fire crews in breathing apparatus entered the living room of the house.
The fire was out by 4.44am, but the TV, video and much of the room had sustained severe damage.
