Evening Press, the people's racehorse, is on course for her first race in July.
Members of the Evening Press racing partnership got their first glimpse of the two-year-old filly on a stable visit to trainer Tim Etherington's stables at Wold House, Norton.
The horse has been leased out by Etherington to readers of our newspaper and he told them at Saturday's visit that she was being earmarked for her track debut in about two months time.
Members of the syndicate saw Evening Press put through her paces at the Norton gallops.
Another stable visit for syndicate members is being planned for the near future.
The partnership includes people from many parts of North Yorkshire.
Don't miss Evening Press' own column, Straight From the Horses Mouth, each Friday.
