A CONSERVATIVE government could be a realistic outcome of this General Election, according the Vale of York candidate Anne McIntosh.

Her comments came as she outlined her campaign to regain the seat, which has been pushed into top gear this week.

She said in about 164 marginal seats targeted by her party, only about 3,000 voters need to be convinced to change who they support. "If we can encourage 3,000 people to switch the way they vote in each of those seats then a Conservative government will be a realistic possibility, " she said. Ms McIntosh has promised her campaign team will be highly visible in the next couple of weeks, with door-to-door canvassing, public meetings and rallies on the agenda. Her policies range from support for rural issues to tackling crime in market towns and campaigning for better defences against floods in Rawcliffe.
