Sue Durston and Sue Smith gained two wins for Market Weighton but lost 13 and six to Y Malthouse and P Turner, who won three rubbers for a total of 90-36.
Turner and Malthouse were top scorers against Knavesmire, totalling 90-19 in a straight sets maximum.
Sean Ogley and Ian Eaton totalled 101-62 in three wins to help Shepherds win 6-3 at home to Students 'A' in mixed division one.
Ogley and Eaton had a seven and nine success against Nick Burton and Peter Robinson, who gained two wins for the Students.
Nigel Stainforth and Geoff Oxley clinched a 5-4 win for Riverside away to Millthorpe in men's division two when in the penultimate rubber they beat Roger Martin and Keith Burrows 15-12, 17-14 to complete three wins.

Simon Taylor and Peter Robinson gained the Student's point, beating Tony Kirkman and Wasten Siallagon seven and 11.
Alan Ward and Leon Young totalled 90-35 in three straight wins as Tadcaster won 9-0 away to York University Staff Club in men's division three.
Jill McIntosh and Ian Shore totalled 92-41 in three straight wins to help Clifton 'B' beat Millthorpe 5-4 in mixed division two.
John Deighton and Jeanette Gilbert scored two wins for Millthorpe but lost three and 15 to Shore and McIntosh.
Neil Richardson and Valerie Bell totalled 92-39 in three straight wins as mixed division four leaders Selby Jubilee 'A' won 7-2 at home to RI Tuesday/Thursday 'B'.
Bill Clemmit and Ellen Mooney scored an 11 and 12 win over Jubilee's Roy Cannon and Sandra Royle.
Fulfordgate 'A' clinched promotion to mixed division four after a 7-2 home win over Selby Jubilee 'A' in mixed division five.
Maureen Medlar and Matt Hobman totalled 94-65 in three wins. Gary Hall and Hazel Winfield totalled 96-68.
John Warburton and Sue Smith scored three wins as Market Weighton won 5-4 away to Middlethorpe, whose Ann Oxley and Ian Thompson scored two wins.
