Thirsk emerged as the leaders of the Pilmoor Evening Cricket League's first division after the latest round of fixtures.
They beat Sessay while Easingwold's fixture against Sheriff Hutton Bridge was rained off. Newburgh and Tollerton are yet to take a point, while Huby lead the second division.
At Thirsk the home side took first innings against Sessay. Oliver Grant played the innings of the night with 60, with support coming from Dean Bramley (20), John Cook (23) and Matthew Cressey (19). Richard Baker (2-35) had the best return for Sessay.
Sessay replied with 99 for three, Matthew Till (28), Richard Ormston (36 not out) and Chris Till (22) being the main contributors, but they were never able to match the asking rate.
Newburgh were put into bat at home to Alne. Stuart Pierce made 20 and Tony Fox 24 as they reached 73 for four, Mark Lawson claiming two for 19. Lawson continued his good work with an unbeaten 30 in Alne's 74 for four.
In division two, Helperby had Sheriff Hutton out for 27, J Tyreman taking four for nine.
A Triffitt (20 no) then led Helperby to a convincing nine-wicket victory.
