Hunters Estate Agent York and District Senior Cricket League's Joe Lumb XI cruised to a 123-run victory over their Pontefract counterparts at Stillington.

York openers Nathan Briggs (Clifton Alliance) and Guy Darwin (Bedale) put on 20 runs in 12 overs for the first wicket before Briggs was bowled.

Darwin and Carl Berens (Bedale) then put on 23 before Berens was caught.

James Pringle and Darwin pushed the score along, Pringle reaching 50 off 56 balls in 52 minutes.

The stand was worth a valuable 80 when Pringle was caught for 60, scored off 59 balls.

Darwin was caught behind for 39, made off 108 balls in 121 minutes.

Luke Jennison (Scarborough) made a quickfire 22 off 23 balls before the York innings petered out to 187 for nine in their allotted 50 overs.

Pringle and James Edgerton (Scarborough) reduced Pontefract to 25 for five. Alister Wray (Clifton Alliance) came on and took two wickets for three runs in six overs.

Edgerton and Pringle were brought back to mop up the tail as Pontefract were dismissed for 64.

Edgerton finished with figures of 9.3-2-21-5, and Pringle returned 8-2-13-3.
