A WELL-known local auctioneer has been appointed general manager of Yorkshire Beef Limited.
Michael Harrison, with 28 years experience of livestock marketing, was auctioneer partner in charge of Malton Livestock Market for Messrs Cundall of Malton.
Yorkshire Beef is to supply quality cattle from suckler herds to retail and wholesale outlets. Animals will be naturally fed and reared and will be fully traceable from birth to butcher.
Mr Harrison's appointment takes effect on June 1.
The firm requires supplies of prime cattle and can be contacted on (01759) 368121.
