Barbican stormed back from 11-2 down against Fulford Conservatives 'A' to win 23-12 and maintain their 100 per cent record in league one of the York Veterans Bowls League.

Museum beat Osbaldwick 'A' 23-16 and are level at the top with Barbican on points but have a slightly inferior shots difference.

Huntington WMC beat Forum 'A' 25-16 and are in third position. The other game resulted in a 20-13 win for Nestl 'A' against Wigginton 'A'.

Bert Keech 'B' had an easy 21-9 win over Fulford Conservatives 'B' in league two and lead the table with maximum points. Forum 'B' and Wigginton 'B' both had one shot victories over Dunnington 'B' and Osbaldwick 'B', respectively, and are in second and third places.

Dunnington 'C' enjoyed their third win in league three, beating Stamford Bridge 17-10. Bert Keech 'C' beat Nestl 'D' 20-16 and Nestl 'C' overwhelmed Wigginton 'C' 28-9.

In league four West Park 'A' lost their unbeaten record at Copmanthorpe 'A', going down 18-17, and this meant Scarcroft took over at the top of the table after beating Bishopthorpe 'B' 22-8.

Poppleton 'A' led Ainsty 'A' 12-1 and despite a good recovery by Ainsty ran out 19-17 winners, while Acomb 'A' had a 21-20 win over Dringhouses 'A'.

Previously unbeaten teams Acomb 'B' and Poppleton 'B' were level 12-12 with four ends to play in their league five clash but then Poppleton 'A' scored seven shots in the next three ends to win 19-13 and go top of the table.

Copmanthorpe 'B' also lost their unbeaten record, losing easily to Bishopthorpe 'B' 27-10. West Park 'B' beat Holgate WMC 25-12 and Ainsty 'B' easily beat RI Corinthians 22-10.

Acomb 'C' lead league six after their third consecutive victory, beating West Park 'C' 19-11. Holgate are in second spot after beating Poppleton 'C' 27-7.

RI Amateurs beat Shipton 20-13 and Copmanthorpe 'C' beat Dringhouses 'C' 23-9.
