Former York Wasps forward Michael Smith has agreed a new two-year contract with Super League Castleford Tigers.
Smith rejoined the Tigers from the Wasps at the start of the season and has been rewarded for his consistent back-row performances with a long-term deal.
Tigers chief executive Richard Wright said: "Securing Michael on a new contract has been one of our priorities after his form this year and I am sure our fans will be delighted with the news."
Castleford visit Wigan Warriors - and ex-boss Stuart Raper, now in charge at the JJB Stadium - tonight, kick-off 8pm.
