York Wasps could have another Hull Kingston Rovers player in their side to face Dewsbury Rams on Sunday.
Gavin Molloy, a 21-year-old winger or full-back, is hoping to finalise a loan deal in time to figure in Sunday's Huntington Stadium clash.
He will join Mike Hall and Shane Cochran who have recently joined the Wasps from Rovers.
Another Robin, whose identity has not been revealed, is also in line to sign for York until the end of the season.
Hull-born Molloy made three appearances for Rovers during his debut season in 1999, scoring two tries.
He featured heavily the following year and scored six tries in 17 appearances, most of them on the wing.
Meanwhile, York chief executive Ann Garvey confirmed former Hull FC loose forward Rob Roberts has left the club.
He has not been seen at York since playing two games for the Wasps last month. He is expected to return to Keighley Cougars.
