IF every picture tells a story then your front page says it all. Mr MacDonald claims the sign now suggests he lives in Kingsclere instead of Linden Close - yet your picture clearly shows an arrow in the sign pointing the way to Kingsclere (May 23). We have held our hands up to the mispelling of Mulberry Court and the mis-naming of Langley Court (like your reporters, we all err occasionally) but, as our spokesman explained to your reporter, the siting of the sign - Mr MacDonald's main complaint - was chosen with some care and after requests from the postal and ambulance services to resolve confusion in the area.
The sign is situated at the appropriate spot on the junction where vehicles turn left to carry on down Linden Close or turn right to Kingsclere.
The way this site has developed means that Kingsclere does not begin right at the junction, hence the arrow on our sign.
