Henry Hall, who caught the eye on his reappearance at York last week, can fulfill that promise at Haydock tomorrow.

The five-year-old, trained at Langton by Nigel Tinkler, faces the starter in the opening race, the Be Friendly Handicap, and I fancy him to triumph.

Henry Hall had a good campaign last year, winning the Gosforth Park Cup at Newcastle and a valuable handicap race on Knavesmire.

On his return to action last week he was a creditable fifth to Smart Predator in a field of 23, beaten just a couple of lengths.

With that run under his belt, Henry Hall is tipped to show his rivals the way home tomorrow. Trainer's wife Kim Tinkler, who gets on so well with the Ryedale sprinter, has the mount.

The Weatherbys General Stud Book Rated Handicap has attracted a cracking field of three-year-olds, including Tim Easterby's Romantic Myth, last season's Queen Mary Stakes winner.

My idea of the winner, however, is Vicious Dancer, a useful two-year-old last season and a game winner at Newbury on his reappearance two weeks ago.

Romantic Myth might struggle to concede 6lb to Richard Whitaker's smart sprinter.

Up Tempo, a stablemate of Romantic Myth, ran well at York last week to finish sixth over seven furlongs and will appreciate the step up to a mile in the Tote Credit Silver Bowl. The Great Habton hope could well win this £60,000 prize.

At Doncaster, Dulcification is napped to land the Meadowhall Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

Narrowly beaten on his reappearance at Thirsk, Dulcification is selected to go one better for Middleham trainer John Weymes, who was on the mark at Newcastle yesterday with smart juvenile Brigadore.

Intricate Web, who has been in cracking form lately on sand and on turf, can extend his winning sequence to four in the betabet Handicap, while Mingling looks the one to be on in the San Rossore Racecourse Pisa Handicap after his decent effort at Musselburgh on his reappearance.

The EBF Zetland Maiden Stakes often uncovers a useful two-year-old with Royal Ascot potential. Meshaheer, from the powerful David Loder establishment, and the mount of Frankie Dettori, potentially fits the bill this time.

Dettori can also hit the target aboard Ennoblement in the Reed In Partnership Rosehill Conditions Stakes.

Marcus Tregoning's colt trotted-up on his debut at Lingfield a fortnight ago and looks capable of coping with this step up in class.

At Kempton, where betabet sponsor the bulk of the programme, Fromsong, so impressive at Nottingham last month, can win the Listed Achilles Stakes. Rod Millman's high-class sprinter will again be partnered by Basil Marcus.

High And Mighty, who found only Rainbow High too good in the Chester Cup, can go one better in the betabet Handicap over two miles. Malton jockey John McAuley again has the mount on George Barnett's useful stayer.
