YORK train operator GNER is targeting business travellers who drive or fly - and trying to get regular travellers to upgrade to first class.
Until June 15, anyone buying a GNER executive ticket for at least £190 can claim free First Class leisure travel for two.
The Work2Play business travel promotion is being advertised on TV, at poster sites, airport approach roads and motorway service stations.
"Despite recent disruption to the rail network the underlying benefits of frequent, speed of service and the quality of our on-board service to passengers still remains the best reasons to choose long distance rail travel in preference to flying or motorway driving," said GNER chief executive Christopher Garnett.
Full details of the business travel promotion are available from GNER stations or 08457 225125.
