A READER (Letters, May 21) asks, "Where are York's bus users going to find a voice to promote and protect their interests?"
Those of us who are members of the York branch of the National Federation of Bus Users are attempting to be just that.
Twice a year a meeting is held where members can quiz the management of the local bus companies and a representative of the local authority. Between times, contact is made when problems arise.
It may be that some bus users feel that we are insufficiently militant. The answer to this is for them to join us and show us how to do it. An application form can be obtained from the National Federation of Bus Users, PO Box 320, Portsmouth PO5 3SD.
