York City Rowing Club's men's eight'sgreat run at Henley Royal Regatta was ended yesterday when they were beaten by two and three-quarter lengths by German crew Der Hamburger Und Germania Ruder, one of the favourities for the Thames Challenge Cup. York had reached the last 16 for the first time in the club's history.
