A MOTORCYCLIST from York was killed after a crash on a road near Malton at the weekend.
The accident happened at about 3.45pm on Saturday, on the C177 Malton to Buttercrambe road, half a mile on the Malton side of Galley Gap crossroads.
A white and blue Suzuki motorbike was being ridden towards Malton when it was in collision with a green Citroen Saxo coming in the opposite direction.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three occupants of the Saxo were taken to York District Hospital.
The female driver and male front seat passenger were released after treatment for minor injuries. An elderly woman, who was a rear seat passenger, was admitted to York District Hospital for observation.
