BURYTHORPE maintained their lead at the top of the first division of the Horwath Pulleyn Heselton York Vale after defeating third-placed Burn by five wickets.

York stayed second after their comfortable win over Stamford Bridge. Ovington moved into third after beating Heworth while Bishopthorpe proved too strong for Hemingbrough and victory saw them move into mid-table.

The second division is wide open as Fulfordgate moved to within four points of leaders Thorpe Willoughby whom they beat on Saturday by 13 runs.

British Sugar are third, a further five points behind despite their defeat at Wheldrake.

York are the new leaders of the fifth division as Stockton and Hopgrove dropped to third place when losing to Wistow. Woodhouse Grange went down to Wheldrake in an even contest between two young sides which was resolved with one over remaining.
