Two unbeaten records disappeared in the Tyke Petroleum Men's League and Poppleton were involved in both.

Their firsts lost to Dunnington in the return division one match, Dunnington scoring 21 of the last 36 games to win by two. John and Alex Moore scored 25 unbeaten for Poppleton while Kevin Todd and Anthony Downing replied with 21 scoring eight in the crucial last match. Meanwhile, Poppleton II spoiled Riccall's record in division two. Riccall's Paul Elmhurst and John Tongue won all three for 21 games equalled by Poppleton's third pair of John Schofield and Dave Carling.

Knaresborough II maintained their grip on division five beating Rufforth 69-39, John Forster and Jonathan Oxley scored 26.

A draw at Civil Service II moved Riccall II into a healthier position. Charlie Dixon and Steve Gagen were top scorers for Service with 23, losing only to Noel Shouksmith and Stuart Fryer with 22.

In division six, Wheldrake II kept on the heels of Boston Spa beating a young Cawood II 86-22. Both Don Grant and Phil Williamson (10,10,10) and Stuart Paver with Steve Smye (9,10,11) scored 30.
