EXPECT Mulder and Scully to descend on Husthwaite any day now. The case of the disappearing, reappearing ring is incredible enough to feature in the X-Files.
That David Wilkinson's wedding ring was found in the garden of his old house after 26 years is impressive. That it was unearthed on his wedding anniversary is remarkable. That he was told of its recovery on the same day as an accident forced him to take off his replacement ring is just plain spooky.
This very happy coincidence now gives Mr Wilkinson two excellent reasons to celebrate his wedding anniversary.
