I WAS a passenger on the 15.00 service from King's Cross and unlike your staff ('Journey from hell', July 19) was highly impressed by the way the train manager and the rest of the staff on the train kept us fully informed about what had gone wrong and what was being done.

I have, on occasions, been delayed on trains and have, along with other passengers, been kept totally in the dark about what was going on.

This made a pleasant change.
