Rugby league meets golf in September when York Wasps' stalwart Alan Pallister's testimonial year takes in a round of stableford competition.
The golf day on Friday, September 7 at Swallow Hall GC near Wheldrake, is to be the next event in Pally's testimonial year.
It will involve teams of four playing a round of 18 holes in a 3/4 handicap stableford competition with all four players' scores on each hole to count, followed by a buffet. The cost is £80 per team of four.
Many prizes are on offer, including awards for the team finishing first and second along with a designated hole for the longest drive and nearest the pin.
Any teams interested should send a cheque made payable to 'Alan Pallister Testimonial', along with a time that they wish to play (the last team will be teeing off at 2.45pm), the names of the four players and their handicaps, a telephone number for the team captain, and a team name to: Michael Chatten, Golf Event, 40 Oakland Avenue, Stockton Lane, York, YO31 1BY.
For further details, telephone 07703 344306 after 6.30pm weekdays or any time at weekends. Early replies are advised.
Anyone, whether playing golf or not, wishing to donate a raffle prize should send details to the above address or phone the above number.
