Now here's an unusual deal; fork out somewhere in the region of £96,500 on this York town house and you get your very own TV star thrown in for free. OK, so the star in question has only ever appeared on Channel 4, but at least it wasn't Channel 5 or (gulp) BBC Choice. And if the truth be known, the star isn't a person as such, it's a garden.

But what a garden it is. Featured on Channel 4, a finalist in the Daily Mail gardens competition and even opened to the public for charity, the garden at 32 Holly Bank Road in Holgate is a 91ft long feast of colour.

Designed in three stages, it contains patio areas, numerous flower beds, a couple of pergolas with seating below, and a decked bridge over a stream-style water feature leading to a water fall.

But what of the house itself - does it live up to the grand designs of the garden?

The staff at Halifax Property Services in Acomb certainly think so.

On the ground floor are a lounge with a rustic brick fireplace, a dining room with patio doors to the garden, and a modern fitted kitchen with a ceramic tiled floor and a built-in oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer.

The accommodation is completed up on the first floor by three bedrooms, one of which has built-in wardrobes, and a family bathroom with a white suite and three-quarter height tiling.

Oh, and did I happen to mention the garden?

Sold to the person with the very green fingers.
