ONE of the top events in the York Union of Golf Clubs' calendar will swing into play at Forest Park Golf Club on Sunday.
The President's Day is the annual event at which the YUGC thank the people and team managers who have helped most during the year.
For the first time in Union history the event will be held at a course that is a proprietary club with current YUGC president David Crossley, the owner of Forest Park.
Before a celebration buffet and presentation, there will be a tournament for teams of four - ladies (full handicap), men (three-quarters handicap). Three scores are to count on par-three holes, four scores to count on the 18th, and two scores on all the others.

1.48pm: S Theaker, J Semourson, T Nutman, J Plaxton.
1.56pm: H B Dunning, D Hamilton, J P Taylor, J Drinkall.
2.04pm: J M Dobson, T Foreman, R A Elliott, D McArthey.
