A FORMER student at Bootham School, York, has been presented with a prestigious award at one of the world's top business schools.
Sam Cockerill, 29, whose parents live at Dunnington, received an award for top student during his graduation ceremony at the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD) near Paris.
The Henry Ford II award is presented to one student every year and Sam, who undertook an international management programme (MBA) and who also has a first-class honours degree from Cambridge University, came top out of 294 students from all over the world.
His mother, Pam, said: "It's quite an achievement to come top out of so many good students."
