HAVE-A-GO Huntington are in buoyant mood after dispatching Heworth with ease for their fifth successive win in division four.

Huntington hit 186 for 9, Mark Baynes and Darren Willis adding 70 for the third wicket. There then followed some big hitting from Mal Storey until he was snared by Heworth's young Jonathon Elsegood, who returned an excellent 6 for 34.

In attack Storey conceded ten runs from his first over.

But then he was transformed into Mr Miserly as his next 19 overs yielded just 21 runs as Heworth simply could not force him away.

He finished with 6 for 31 and Lee Dunnill 3 for 7 as Heworth were dismissed for 68.

Tony Raper hit an unbeaten 119 as leaders Tollerton ran up 230 for 4 against Selby.

Selby inched into three figures but they were never in contention.

Fifth division leaders Wistow wasted little time in extending their unbeaten run to seven games by beating Copmanthorpe by eight wickets. Cop struggled against Ian Jennings and Jamie Middleton with only Ben Beetham putting up much resistance. Jennings finished with 5 for 32 and Middleton 3 for 32 as Cop were dismissed for 104, not enough to trouble Wistow.

A stubborn opening Wheldrake partnership between Harry Codling and James Myers was eventually broken by Bob Hobson with the score at 48. Kevin Dent top scored for Wheldrake with 42 no but the innings was brought to a halt at 144 for 6 by Lewis White and Pervez Akhtar. Chris Houseman 45, and Tom Pringle, unbeaten on 57 put on 94 for the first wicket laying the platform for York's eight-wicket conquest.

Stockton Hopgrove returned to winning ways following a narrow win over Woodhouse Grange. Sam Watson, Barry Sellers and Nigel Collinson were all in the runs as the Villagers reached 121 for 5. Neil Thompson and Barry Johnson held the 'Grange innings together until Alex Widdowson turned in a match winning performance of 5 for 22 as Stockton won by nine runs.

A seven-wicket haul for Pete Eastwood spelt doom for Selby who were dismissed for 86. Gary Wright and P Wasworth gained little support.

Michael Murray was unbeaten on 45 as Pock won by eight wickets to gain revenge for an early season defeat.
