The eagerly-awaited, if unimaginatively-titled, sequel to Crazy Taxi is here and it doesn't disappoint!

Taking the best bits of the original, such as the frantic fare-chasing and exhilarating soundtrack, Crazy Taxi 2 is an arcade dream. Set around New York, you speed your impatient passengers to such celebrated destinations as Central Park and the Hard Rock Caf, in a fashion no less manic than its predecessor.

Four new drivers are available for your pleasure - Slash, Iceman, Bubbly and Hot-D - each with a different personality, but all looking to make some crazy money.

The crazy pyramid, similar to the crazy box of the first game, is a collection of peculiar mini-games for you to test your crazy driving skills on. One of the strangest has to be driving headlong into a huge golf ball to launch it up the fairway.

The game really feels fast. It sucks you in and condemns you to hours of game play under the ruse of one last go. The graphics are gorgeous, the sound is first-rate, once more featuring Offspring, this time with different numbers. If I had one complaint, it's that the soundbites of the songs are a bit too short, but that would be somewhat petty.

If you liked the original, you'll love it. If you are one of the few Dreamcast owners who didn't get Crazy Taxi, you need this game, it rocks.
