ONLY a fool plays dice with the devil, yet I rolled that dice recently trying to navigate my way across the notorious Tesco roundabout at Askham Bar. The speeding car braked; my life flashed by; many hearts skipped a beat.
A pedestrian or cyclist has no chance of trying to cross safely at the bottom of Moor Lane because of the traffic (seemingly trying to break the sound barrier) sweeping around and into the path of them.
There are traffic lights across the road to York College but why no traffic lights here at this exit point of this most lethal roundabout?
