YORK Cricket Club Under 11s swept to glory in the West Zone of the York and District Junior Cricket Association's BYB Under 11 League. They will play East Zone victors Heworth in the final play-off.

York won all their Kwik Cricket rules matches, beating Bolton Percy in the final game by 200 runs.

Matthew Wilks top-scored with 29 not out and there were other good knocks by Mark Sutton, Chris Somerville, James Hepworth and Dan Foster as York rattled up 312 runs on the Kwik Cricket scoring method.

Somerville had a great game, taking four catches, being involved in two run outs and taking three wickets.

York also crushed Goole Town Under 11s in a friendly game of 35 overs. York made 118 with Wilks retiring on 30.

Goole were then bowled out twice for a total of 18 with George Featherstone taking eight catches.
