THERE'S no excuse for being too apathetic to vote, so I hope Julian Cole's column (May 24) galvanises slackers into action. Statements such as 'Oh, it won't make any difference' hardly stand up to scrutiny.
Someone rang to offer me transport to the polling station, if required. I'm certain all parties offer this service, although suspect that people who find it difficult to get to polling stations bravely make a tremendous effort to do so. I hope apathy will not reign when General Election day dawns.
What an insult it is to Mrs Pankhurst and her fellow suffragettes to waste the valuable opportunity of voting. Moaning later is useless.
