A YORK police officer has been arrested in connection with alleged computer misuse, the Evening Press can reveal today.

PC Clare Woodall, 27, who works in the dogs section and is based at the Fulford Road headquarters of York police, was interviewed at Harrogate Police Station and released on bail.

The Newcastle-born policewoman joined the North Yorkshire force in 1993.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police confirmed that an officer based in York had been arrested for alleged computer misuse and had been released on bail.

The officer had been suspended from duty during the police investigation.
