PROTESTERS gathered outside Flamingo Land, near Malton, to register their opposition to the theme park's zoo.
The protest was organised by the Captive Animals' Protection Society.
A handful of protesters gathered at the entrance to the theme park yesterday brandishing placards and handing out leaflets to passing motorists.
In spite of the protest, record numbers of visitors attended the park to enjoy the final Bank Holiday of the year.
