Uproar, narrowly beaten at Folkestone a fortnight ago, will have the assistance of Kieren Fallon as he bids to go one better at Catterick tomorrow.

The two-year-old, trained at Lambourn by Ralph Beckett, has an excellent chance of victory in the Enter Today's Racecard Competition Median Auction Maiden Stake.

Uproar failed by just half-a-length at Folkestone, showing good speed throughout over five furlongs and keeping on well after being collared by the winner Rivernais in the closing stages.

Stepping up another furlong tomorrow should suit Uproar, who is strongly fancied to score.

Fallon can also win on Euro Venture in the Ullswater Classified Stakes.

David Nicholls' sprinter ran below par at Newcastle last time, but had previously looked in good nick when winning at Thirsk.

If back to that sort of form, he should take plenty of beating.

Greek Dream will be a tough nut to crack in the Windermere Handicap.

Barry Hills' filly got off the mark in a maiden race at Thirsk at the beginning of the month, justifying odds-on favouritism to beat Waafiah by one and a half lengths.

With Richard Hughes in the saddle, Greek Dream can follow-up tomorrow over the same distance of seven furlongs.

The Bassenthwaite Handicap over a mile and a half looks a good opportunity for Twilight Dancer to get her head in front.

Trained by the in-form Peter Harris, the three-year-old was beaten less than four lengths into sixth place by Emteyaz at Folkestone last time. She deserves another chance here in the hands of Willie Supple.

Settrington trainer John Quinn was on the mark at Ripon yesterday with Fantasy Believer and he can further add to his tally with Tomthevic in the Hareswater Handicap.

Tomthevic has proved a rather exasperating horse this summer, running well on a number of occasions without managing to get his head in front.

He is worth sticking with for a little longer, but, given his frustrating record, bets should be kept to a minimum, even with Kevin Darley aboard.

At Brighton, the in-form Swynford Welcome has excellent prospects in the C, Brewer And Sons Handicap.

Trained by Ian Wood for Malton-born owner Peter Bottomley, Swynford Welcome is unbeaten in four runs on this course, her latest success coming over this distance last week when she beat Beyond Calculation by two lengths.

Bottomley, whose grand old-timer Saskia's Hero scored at Southwell yesterday, is hopeful of another win from Swynford Welcome, who is awarded the nap vote.

Also worthy of note at Brighton are the similarly in-form Needwood Mystic (3-00) and the promising Ailincala (4-30).
