No sooner has the excitement died down after Sunday's Evening Press race day at York than the famous Knavesmire Course swings back into action.

Tomorrow's meeting features a cracking good sprint in the shape of the £25,000 Peterhouse Group Rating Handicap, which offers Honesty Fair the chance to gain an overdue success.

Trained by Jeremy Glover, Honesty Fair has run three cracking races in defeat since scoring at Newmarket in mid-summer.

Her latest effort was over this course and distance at last month's Ebor meeting when she finished third to Technician, beaten just over a length.

Honesty Fair has another tough task on her hands tomorrow but this ultra-game four-year-old is napped to come out on top.

The Emirates Airline Garrowby Rated Handicap provides Skylarker with the chance to get back on the winning trail.

A lightly-raced colt, Skylarker finished a good third to Delius in a red-hot race at Windsor last time out.

Chris Walls' three-year-old had previously scored in pleasing style at Newmarket in July.

Given his relative lack of racing experience, Skylarker has the scope for further improvement and he is strongly fancied to give a good account of himself here.

The £30,000 Persimmon Homes Strensall Stakes has attracted a classy field and Equerry should not be underestimated.

Winner of all his three races last season, Equerry remains an exciting prospect for the Goldolphin stable.

Although it is slightly worrying that he has not been seen out so far this season, Equerry cannot be dismissed lightly with Frankie Dettori in the saddle.

The Thwaites Smooth Beer Handicap which opens the programme, is the target for Mark Tomkins' Royal Minstrel.

Ted Durkin's mount has been in cracking form recently and foiled a gamble on Pension Fund at Ripon last week.

A 5lb penalty may not prevent Royal Minstrel from obliging again tomorrow.

Mick Easterby has strong claims with Trouble Mountain in the betabet Apprentice Handicap.

Formerly a useful two-year-old with Barrie Hills, Trouble Mountain has had his share of problems, but the four-year-old gave notice of a return to form at Newcastle recently and has now dropped to a very favourable handicap mark.

With Sam Hitchcott in the saddle, Trouble Mountain should be involved in the shake up.

At Lingfield, Choto Mate should not be overlooked in the Valuelink Information Services Handicap.

The five-year-old struck winning form at Bath recently. Pat Dobbs in the saddle that day, again takes the mount tomorrow.
