RISING ski star Adam Lee added another major title to his collection after being crowned Scottish champion.

Sixteen-year-old Lee, from Clifton, York, beat all-comers in the national finals at Edinburgh to walk away with the slalom title.

It capped a remarkable year for the Easingwold School youngster, who, after capturing the Scottish crown still has two more major goals left before the snow season kicks into gear.

He will be looking to add to his clutch of titles when taking part in the British and English Championships at Sheffield and Norwich respectively later this month.

As reported in the Evening Press earlier this year, Lee has enjoyed tremendous success and breezed through Great Britain's top competition unbeaten.

He won all five races in the English Ski Council's Grand Prix series, tearing up the country's leading adult skiers.

His only blip in an otherwise faultless season came in the European Championships at Llandudno when a mistake on the first run cost him the title before winning the second run.

After this month's two championships on the artificial slopes, Lee will be stepping up his preparations for the snow season.

However, in order to be able maintain his startling progress the youngster is appealing for sponsorship.

Anyone able to help should contact his mum, Wendy Lee, on 01904 639977.
