SCARBOROUGH'S 2-0 defeat against Morecambe last night means have now played five games at home in the Nationwide Conference this season without registering a win.

It was only in the first 20 minutes of this game that they looked likely to break that sequence.

Jamie Burt and David Pounder produced danger but no direct threat and when John Norman scored a breakaway goal for the visitors, the result was never in doubt, with the drooping heads and sagging shoulders of the Scarborough players Robbie Talbot forced home the second goal ten minutes after the restart and Scarborough couldn't muster a decent effort on target in the whole game, whereas Andy Woods in the home goal was frequently tested by the shoot-on-sight policy of the lively Morecambe raiders.
