THE investigation into the death of murder victim Michael Brolly is "going well," a senior detective said today.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Barlow, who is leading the inquiry, said that witnesses to Mr Brolly's murder are still coming forward.
DCI Barlow said: "We are making a lot of progress and taking a lot of statements.
"As far as we are concerned we have a clear picture, and it is a matter of progressing through to the names we have been given."
Mr Brolly died following a brutal street attack in Low Ousegate on September 16.
His funeral is due to be held on Monday, at 1.30pm, at St Wulstan's Church, Fossway, followed by committal at Fulford Cemetery.
