TRAIN operator Arriva is facing the nightmare of a Hallowe'en strike.

The Transport and Salaried Staff Association (TSSA) met with Arriva Trains Northern yesterday seeking a 40 per cent pay increase for its ticket office, station and administrative staff members.

Agreement could not be reached, and TSSA has warned that if an acceptable deal is not agreed at the next meeting, on October 31, then strike action may begin.
