WITH only ten minutes of their York FA Saturday Junior Cup second round tie remaining Stillington were 4-0 up at home to LNER Builders, who suddenly hit back with three goals and then it took a penalty save by Stillington 'keeper Mark Fairley to give his side a 4-3 win.
Steve Johnson scored two goals for Stillington and Paul Marshal and Gavin Howell got one each. Jamie Williams and John Dean netted for LNER Builders, who also got an own goal.
Two second-half goals by John Watson clinched a 4-2 win for Marton-cum-Grafton at home to Heworth, who were level at 2-2. Gary Hamblett got the first two goals for Marton, while Brendan Wright netted both Heworth's goals.
Selby RSSC, after being second best in the first half at home to Hamilton Panthers, improved in the second half and won 2-0 with goals by Mark Walker and Andrew Oldfield.
In the tie between two Beckett League clubs, Slingsby needed extra time to win 3-2 at Ampleforth, who had led with only four minutes of normal time remaining.
