A York Schools' Mixed Table Tennis League is starting on Saturday, October 30, at Canon Lee School.
The league is for beginners and intermediate standard players aged under 16. Teams will be two-a-side and played up to 11 points a game over the best of three sets. Eight tables will be in use.
The league is likely to last for 12 weeks and each session will be from 4pm-6pm. Entry costs £5 a team plus 50p per night.
The league is being run by the English Table Tennis Association's north region officer Mark Smith and York and District Table Tennis Association. For details contact Mrs Betty Norman on York (01904) 705477.
Places are available at the under-14s' beginners' table tennis coaching course at Millthorpe School Centre of Excellence, each Friday from 5.30pm to 7pm. Coaching costs £1.50 per session. For details contact Betty Norman on the number above.
