POLICE have identified a man who drowned in the River Ouse in York earlier this month.
He is Bhagwan Bhagwanani, 70, from the Shadwell Close Park area of Leeds.
Chief Inspector Howard Harding, of North Yorkshire Police, said Mr Bhagwanani had gone missing from St James's Hospital in Leeds, where he was receiving treatment following an accident. Mr Bhagwanani was seen falling into the river, close to Scarborough Railway Bridge, on October 12.
