UNTIL a brave government tackles our whole infrastructure, road and rail traffic problems will only get worse. It is time heavy freight and private vehicles were separated.
While elderly roads struggle with ever-increasing volumes and weights, rail tracks stand abandoned or under-used.
They have suffered years of neglect and under-funding by governments and private companies trying to appease selfish, speculative investors out to make a quick buck instead of building up a non-profit making, efficient, state-of-the-art transport system to benefit us all.
