YORK City Baths Club swimmers returned with more than 70 medals from events at the Harrogate Junior Open meet and Kingston-upon-Hull 'B' graded meet.

The Harrogate haul included ten gold, 15 silver and 15 bronze medals as well as four top-three places.

Hannah Petts was the top ten-year-old girl after collecting five gold and one silver as she dominated her group. Her golds came in the 50metres breaststroke, 50m freestyle, 100m individual medley, 200m breaststroke and 200m freestyle. Her silver came in the 50m backstroke.

Philip Graves also came out on top as he took the top boy award in the 12-years age group.

He returned with one gold in the 200m butterfly; three silver in the 50m butterfly, 100m free and 200m backstroke and a bronze in the 50m freestyle.

Alice Sunderland took second in the 11-years age group category awards and returned with three golds (50m free, 200m free, 200m butterfly), three silvers (50m backstroke and butterfly, 100m IM) and a bronze in the 200m backstroke.

Rachel Eastaugh collected third in the ten-years category and picked up five bronze medals in the 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly, 100m IM and 200 breaststroke. Lauren Mason, 13- years, took gold in the 50m butterfly.

Andy Fowler, aged 12, finished with two silver (50m backstroke and freestyle) and two bronze (100m freestyle and IM).

Nick Boaz, 14-years, took two silver in the 50m and 200m breaststroke, while Alice Lawrenson, 12-years, collected silver and bronze in the 50m breaststroke and butterfly.

Hayley Moffatt, 14-years, also had a silver and bronze in the 50m and 200m breaststroke, a feat repeated by Mark Howarth, 14-years, with silver in the 200m butterfly and bronze in the 50m backstroke.

Laura Cuttill, 13-years, took silver in the 200m butterfly, while Chris Burns, 11-years, had two bronze in the 50m and 200m breaststroke and Ashleigh Husband, 12-years, bronze in the 200m breaststroke.

Other York swimmers posting personal best times were Lucy Recchia, Sophie Calpin, William Peeke-Vout, Gareth Thomas, Craig Jackson, Hannah Waterfall, Louise Middleton, Chloe Russell, Joanna Feasby, Eilidh Macdonald, Olivia Lawrenson, Rebecca Jenkins, Michelle Moffatt, Luke Hutchinson, Matthew Reed, Sam Bradley, Kate Hollier, Sabrina Rapp, Claire Kilmartin, Anna Longjaloux-Ball and Victoria Graves.

The tally from Kingston-upon-Hull was seven golds, 16 silvers and eight bronze.

Sabrina Rapp, 14-years, topped the medal list with two gold - 100m butterfly, 100m backstroke; silver - 50m butterfly; and bronze - 50m backstroke.

Matthew Reed, 12-years, took two golds in the 50m and 100m breaststroke.

Bradley Swainson 11-years, had gold in the 100m IM and three silver - 50m freestyle, backstroke and butterfly

Meanwhile, Chris Holmes, 12-years, took gold in the 50m butterfly and had two bronze in the 50m and 100m freestyle.

Mark Howarth, 14-years, won gold in the 50m backstroke with four silver in the 50m and 100m butterfly, 100m backstroke and 100m IM.

Gareth Thomas, 11-years, took silver in both 100m IM and 50m breaststroke.

Craig Smith, ten-years, collected one silver in the 50m backstroke and bronze in both the 50m freestyle and 100m IM.

Luke Hutchinson, 12-years, took silver in the 50m and 100m breaststroke. He also picked up a 'speeding ticket' in the 100m backstroke.

Laura Cuttill, 13-years, had a silver in the 100m butterfly and bronze in the 50m freestyle.

Nick Boaz, 14-years, took silver in the 100m breaststroke and collected a 'speeding ticket' for the 50m breaststroke.

Emma Davis, 13-years, had a silver in the 50m butterfly, while Kate Hollier, 13-years, took bronze in the 100m IM and Hannah Waterfall, 12-years, collected bronze in the 100m freestyle.

Personal best times were posted by Louise Middleton and Anna Chaplin.
