YORK will be well and truly jumping at Christmas if this new craze is as successful as the predictions for it.
In another phase of the 1970s "retro" revival, the pogo stick is back - but this time it means business. On the Airgo Pogo Stick, children - and those who have never really grown up - can learn to leap to amazing heights.
Unlike its predecessor, the Airgo Pogo Stick (priced around £80) uses a pump action system which, with practice, lets users get well and truly airborne. Mike Mawson, of Gillygate's Anti-Gravity Shop, which is stocking the sticks, said: "With all the traffic problems there have been around York recently, perhaps the Airgo Pogo could become a new form of transport."
