Jumping fans will flock to Wetherby tomorrow for what is traditionally the north's first major meeting of the National Hunt campaign.

The £50,000 Charlie Hall Chase, sponsored by the Peterhouse Group, takes pride of place and Legal Right is fancied to lift the prize for Jonjo O'Neill's stable.

O'Neill has been sending out winner after winner since moving to Gloucestershire from Cumbria in mid-summer and Legal Right has what it takes to capture this Grade 2 prize at the first time of asking this season.

Well-known for being lame almost as often as he is sound, Legal Right is, nevertheless, a top-notch performer at his best.

Restricted to just two races last season, he won impressively first time out and is a horse who goes well fresh.

In what promises to be a cracking contest, Legal Right can keep the O'Neill star in the ascendency.

The £15,000 Stanley Racing Wensleydale Juvenile Novices' Hurdle offers Bula Rose the chance to collect a sizeable prize.

A former selling-plater on the Flat, Bula Rose has taken to hurdling like the proverbial duck to water and has rattled up a hat-trick of wins for North Yorkshire trainer Edwin Tuer. With Tony Dobbin on board, she can add to her tally tomorrow.

Redemption, an impressive winner here a fortnight ago, can follow up in the £15,000 Rocom Handicap Chase.

Paul Webber's six-year-old could hardly have enjoyed a smoother return to action and, such was the accuracy of his jumping and the ease of his victory, he looks a horse to follow this season. Andrew Thornton again has the mount.

Whatever his fate in the feature race on the card, Paul Nicholls should make his precence felt. The Somerset trainer can score with Mister Benjamin (3-15) and prolific winner Comex Flyer (4-15).

At Newmarket, Intricate Web carrries the nap in the seven-furlong TNT Express Handicap.

Eric Alston's charge ran a cracking race over this course and distance two weeks ago when fifth to Nose The Trade, beaten two-and-a-half lengths after not finding the clearest of runs in the closing stages. She should go well under Willie Supple in a wide-open race.

The quirky, but talented Right Wing will have the assistance of Kieren Fallon as he bids to follow up his recent course win in the Gist Ben Marshall Stakes.

Fallon will need to produce John Dunlop's popular old character late on the scene, and is perfectly capable of doing just that. Backers, however, should prepare for having their hearts in their mouths.

Also worth noting is the progressive Bestam, who is chasing a hat-trick of wins in the Betfair.com Zetland Stakes.

Over the jumps at Ascot, recent winners Colombian Green (1-30) and Auditty (2-35) are worthy of serious consideration in BBC1 televised races.
