FOR one of the many that were born in the shadow of the Minster at the Purey Cust, it seems at first to be sad that it is closing - nostalgia can create mistaken feelings.
How much better the news would be if it were to be the start of a new era - one in which the NHS can cope with the demands placed on it and so the Purey Cust is not needed any more. It seems, rather, that it will be the continuation of one in which those who can pay to jump the waiting lists, are enabled to do so.
