A WOMAN who suffered head injuries in a car crash near Malton had to be cut free by firefighters.
A crew from Malton released the woman, who is believed to be aged in her twenties and from Whitby, after the green Renault Clio crashed on the Hovingham Road at Slingsby at about 5.20pm yesterday. No other vehicles were involved.
Oxygen was administered to the woman, who also suffered hip injuries, while the emergency services worked to free her.
She was taken to York District Hospital for treatment. Her condition was not known.
